Can I set up parental controls without an ID?

A linked parent account needs an age check. Roblox lists a government ID, a credit card, or facial age estimation as options. If you don't want to verify, Parent mode on your child's device covers most settings without your own account. It can't send real-time alerts like spending notifications.

Do Roblox parental controls work if my kid makes a new account?

Controls apply to the account you linked. A new account your child creates won't carry your settings.
