Quick answer: do these 3 things
- Your Profiles → Edit profile → account holder → Manage next to Account PIN and locks.
- Create the Prime Video Account PIN.
- Viewing restrictions are per device: Amazon says viewing restrictions apply only to the device they were set on, so set them on each TV, tablet and phone.

Account PIN
- Your Profiles → Edit profile → account holder → Manage next to Account PIN and locks.
- Create the Prime Video Account PIN.
The Account PIN bypasses viewing and purchase restrictions and overrides profile PINs. PINs apply on all devices.
Viewing restrictions are per device
Amazon says viewing restrictions apply only to the device they were set on, so set them on each TV, tablet and phone. Fire TV has its own separate parental controls.
On TVs & streaming devices
- Roku: Create a 4-digit PIN at my.roku.com to restrict purchases, subscriptions and adding apps, plus ratings in The Roku Channel. source
- Fire TV: Settings → Preferences → Parental Controls, then set a PIN to protect ratings, purchases and apps. Separate from Prime Video's settings. source
- Apple TV: Settings → General → Restrictions, with a 4-digit passcode for purchases, apps, ratings and settings. source
